Who We Are

Verity & Verity is an SEC registered investment advisory firm. Our mission is to serve as our clients’ trusted advisor and to manage their investment portfolio in a prudent manner that supports their highest aspirations. We specialize in helping individual investors and their families preserve and grow their wealth through a proprietary “dividend growth” investment strategy. This approach enables our clients to benefit from the financial flexibility offered by a dependable and growing income stream while building the long-term value of their investment portfolio.

Our “dividend growth” investment approach focuses on companies that have consistently increased their dividends for at least each of the last ten years. We believe that consistent dividend growth is the single best indicator of a company’s investment merit because it demonstrates that the company has the ability to survive and prosper in diverse economic environments (including war, recession and a major terrorist attack in the last ten years), that its earnings and cash flow are growing and predictable, and that its management team is committed to shareholders and confident about the future.

We construct an overall investment portfolio for each client that is tailored to meet their specific investment objectives. As such, client portfolios may include allocations of fixed income, real estate, oil and gas pipelines, international stocks and other securities. However, each of our investment portfolios has a core commitment to “dividend growth”, and each is designed to deliver:

  • a significant, predictable and growing income stream;
  • measurably lower levels of risk and volatility than the major market indices; and
  • very competitive long-term total rates of return (income + price appreciation).

We are compensated based on a percentage of assets under management rather than on commissions. We believe that this approach ensures that our rewards are ultimately aligned with our clients’ best interests: managing risk and growing assets. Our minimum account size is $500,000, and our fees start at 1% of assets under management and scale down as the amount under management increases above $5 million.
