Performance Objectives

While each client portfolio may possess some unique goals and investment positions, each of our dividend-growth portfolios is designed to achieve all of the following performance objectives:

• Predictable, consistent and secure income generation. A portfolio’s performance in this regard can be measured every quarter. “Did the portfolio deliver the expected income this quarter?
• Attractive annual dividend income growth. A portfolio’s performance in this regard can be measured every year. “Did the portfolio’s dividend income grow and at what rate?
• Volatility protection and tolerance. A portfolio’s performance in this regard should be measured over a one to three year period. “Did the portfolio retain its “recovery potential” in a downturn, or was investment principal consumed?”
• Competitive total returns. A portfolio’s performance in this regard should be measured over a three to five year period. “Did the portfolio deliver attractive absolute and relative long-term returns?”
